Unit 8 «THE UNIVERSE”
En esta unidad estudiaremos el universo, las estrellas y los planetas, el sistema solar,
la Tierra, la Luna y el Sol y los movimientos de la Tierra. En esta ficha se recoge el vocabulario y las estructuras que el alumnado debe aprender junto con unos enlaces de vídeos que serán de utilidad para repasar los contenidos estudiados.

* Stars give out light and heat. Planets move around the stars. They don’t give out light. (Las estrellas dan luz y calor. Los planetas giran alrededor de las estrellas. Ellos no tienen luz).
*Mercury is the smallest planet. It is the nearest planet to the Sun. (Mercurio es el planeta más pequeño y el más cercano al Sol).
* Venus is similar in size to the Earth.
(Venus es similar a la Tierra en tamaño).
* The Earth is the only planet with life.
(La Tierra es el único planeta con vida).
* Mars is called the Red Planet. (Marte es llamado «El Planeta Rojo»).
* Jupiter is the largest planet.
(Júpiter es el planeta más grande).
* Saturn is surrounded by rings made of rocks and ice.
(Saturno está rodeado de anillos formados por polvo e hielo).
* Uranus is also surrounded by rings.
(Urano también está rodeado de anillos).
* Neptune is the furthest planet from the Sun. It is a cold planet. (Neptuno es el planeta más alejado del Sol y el más frío).
* The Earth spins round once every 24 hours. It moves around the Sun once every year. (La Tierra gira alrededor de sí misma cada 24 horas. Gira alrededor del Sol una vez al año).
