STRUCTURES

* The eyes are the sense organs of sight. They are protected by the eyelids, the eyelashes and the eyebrows. (Los ojos son los órganos de la vistas. Están protegidos por los párpados, las pestañas y las cejas).

* You use your sense of sight to distinguish the shape, colour, size and distance of objects. (Usas el sentido de la vista para distinguir la forma, el color, el tamaño y la distancia de los objetos).

* The ears are the sense organs of hearing. (Los oídos son los órganos del oído).

* They have got three parts: the outer ear, the middle ear and the inner ear. (Tienen tres partes: oído externo, media e interno).

* You use your sense of hearing to distinguish different sounds: loud, soft, high or low. (Usas tu sentido del oído para distinguir diferentes sonidos: fuerte, suave, alto y bajo).

* Our nose is the organ we use to smell. Air enters the nose through the nostrils. (Nuestra nariz es el ógano que usamos para oler. El aire entra en la nariz a través de las fosas nasales).

* The olfactory nerve sends information to our brain which tells us what we can smell. (El nervio olfativo envía información a nuestro cerebro y el que nos dice qué podemos oler).

* Our tongue is the organ we use to taste. Our tongue is covered in taste buds. We can identify four tastes: sweet, salty, bitter and sour. (Nuestra lengua es el órgano que usamos para saborear. Está cubierta por las papilas gustativas. Podemos identificar cuatro sabores: dulce, salado, amargo y ácido).

* Our skin is the organ we use to touch. It is the largest organ in the human body. Our body is covered in skin. (Nuestra piel es el órgano que usamos para tocar. Es el ógano más grande del cuerpo humano. Nuestro cuerpo está cubierto de piel).
