En esta unidad estudiaremos el sistema solar (los planetas,
la Tierra, la Luna y el Sol) y los movimientos de la Tierra. En esta ficha se recoge el vocabulario y las estructuras que el alumnado debe aprender junto con unos enlaces de vídeos que serán de utilidad para repasar los contenidos estudiados.

* The Sun is the star at the centre of our solar system. (El Sol es la estrella que está en el centro de nuestro sistema solar).
* Eight planets go around the Sun. (Ocho planetas giran alrededor del Sol).
* The four inner planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. (Los cuatro planetas internos son Mercurio, Venus, la Tierra y Marte).
* The four outer planets are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. (Los cuatro planetas externos son Júpiter, Saturno, Urano y Neptuno).
* Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system. (Júpiter es el planeta más grande en el sistema solar).
* Mercury is the smallest planet. (Mercurio es el planeta más pequeño).
* The Earth rotates on its invisible axis. It takes one day and this rotation causes the day and night. (La Tierra rota en su eje invisible. Tarda un día y esta rotación da lugar al día y la noche).
* The Earth also revolves around the Sun. It takes 365 days and this rotation causes the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. (La Tierra también gira alrededor del Sol. Tarda 365 días y este giro da lugar a las cuatro estaciones: primavera, verano, otoño e invierno)
* The Moon is the Earth´s satellite. (La Luna es el satélite de la Tierra).
* Globes and maps represent the Earth. (Los globos terráqueos y los mapas representan la Tierra).
